Method
GIM Online / GIM Connect™ is our general online research platform. The structure of the Community tool is modular, offering the opportunity to use different online methods individually or to combine them with each other, for example, online chats.

Chats are mostly part of a larger study design and may be used at the beginning of a study as a way of introducing all participants to the topic and their further assignments (“Welcoming Chat“). But they can also be used to discuss especially important research questions separately in the course of a study or to draw a conclusion at the end of the study (“Wrap-Up Chat”). Chats are always moderated by two experienced GIM research managers. Why two? Because chats are completely different from group discussions, for example because the moderators‘ questions are answered by all participants at the same time.
