GIM at “Startup Weekend Food Innovation”

From June 07 to June 09, the first Startup Weekend Food Innovation took place in Berlin. The event is aimed at generating innovations in the areas of food, beverages and food service industry.

GIM supported this exciting event financially and send Dr. Kerstin Ullrich (Division Director Consumer, Services & Innovation) and Dr. Stephan Telschow (Division Director Shopper Research & GIM Berlin), two experts in the field. Kerstin Ullrich was to moderate workshops at the event, Stephan Telschow was part of the jury selecting the winner team.

Basic concept of the event: future start-up entrepreneurs’ innovative ideas meet the experience of experts of the industry, together they develop new concepts, for example in the areas of new products, sales, convenience, e-commerce or marketing. This shall support the start-ups in their business development.

Startup Weekends are 54-hour events that are conducted globally. Exclusive partner of the innovation event is Mondelez International (formerly Kraftfoods).
